The masked owl is Australia’s largest barn owl and looks like it’s wearing a spooky heart-shaped face mask (hence the name). With massive dark eyes and super-quiet wings, it hunts at night by listening for tiny sounds and can snatch rats, birds and small possums straight off the ground. It nests in big hollow trees and can live for decades in the wild — but land clearing and the loss of old-growth nesting trees are significant threats. There are five races, two of which are endangered. This design is of the relatively widespread novaehollandiae. Fun fact: its hearing is so precise, it can catch prey in complete darkness without ever seeing it. 🦉
The organic staple t-shirt is a regular-fit, eco-friendly t-shirt with a crew neck. The fabric is 100% combed organic cotton. All materials are produced without the use of pesticides or herbicides. The neck is ribbed for improved durability. There is tape running along the shoulder line for improved fitting and reduced bunching. All hems are double needled. These organic t-shirts are preshrunk.
