Quokka | Organic Staple T-shirt

The quokka is often called the world’s happiest animal, thanks to its naturally smiley face and curious personality. Found mainly in Western Australia, particularly on islands off the coast, these small marsupials spend their days browsing on grasses, leaves and stems before resting in the shade during the heat of the day. While quokkas are a conservation success story in some areas, they still face threats from habitat loss and introduced predators on the mainland. Organisations like Rottnest Foundation support research and conservation efforts to help protect these iconic animals and their habitats. Despite their cheerful appearance, that famous "smile" isn't a sign they're happy all the time — they just happen to have one of the friendliest resting faces in the animal kingdom.

  • Fabric: Mid weight, 100% combed organic cotton (15% viscose in marle colourways) sustainably grown without herbicides or pesticides.
  • Fit: Regular fit with a crew neck.
  • Construction: Side-seamed, GOTS-certified, with neck ribbing, shoulder-to-shoulder tape, and double needle hems. It is also pre-shrunk to minimize shrinkage.

Care- for maximum print life:

  • Turn inside out: Always invert your shirt before putting it in the wash to reduce friction against the Direct-to-Garment (DTG) ink.
  • Cold & gentle: Wash the garment on a cold cycle (under 30°C) on your machine's gentlest setting.
  • Mild detergent only: Use standard, mild washing powder. Avoid heavy-duty detergents, enzymes, and bleaching agents (even non-chlorine ones, if possible).
  • No softeners: Do not use fabric softeners, as these can strip or degrade the coloured inks.
