Western Spinebill | Organic Staple T-shirt
The western spinebill is a tiny honeyeater with a long, curved bill perfectly suited for reaching deep into flowers for nectar. Found in south-west Western Australia, these energetic birds dart between banksias, grevilleas and other native plants, playing an important role as pollinators along the way. Despite their small size, western spinebills are surprisingly feisty and will happily defend a good food source from much larger birds. Protecting native heathlands and woodlands is essential for their survival, and organisations like Darling Range Wildlife Shelter help care for native wildlife and support community conservation efforts. With their constant movement and needle-like bill, they look like tiny feathered fencers buzzing through the bush.
- Fabric: Mid weight, 100% combed organic cotton (15% viscose in marle colourways) sustainably grown without herbicides or pesticides.

- Construction: Side-seamed, GOTS-certified, with neck ribbing, shoulder-to-shoulder tape, and double needle hems. It is also pre-shrunk to minimize shrinkage.
Care- for maximum print life:
- Turn inside out: Always invert your shirt before putting it in the wash to reduce friction against the Direct-to-Garment (DTG) ink.
- Cold & gentle: Wash the garment on a cold cycle (under 30°C) on your machine's gentlest setting.
- Mild detergent only: Use standard, mild washing powder. Avoid heavy-duty detergents, enzymes, and bleaching agents (even non-chlorine ones, if possible).
- No softeners: Do not use fabric softeners, as these can strip or degrade the coloured inks.
