The yellow-tailed black cockatoo is a striking bird of Australia’s forests, easily recognised by its deep black feathers, mournful calls and bright yellow cheek patches and tail panels. These large cockatoos travel in small, noisy groups, using their powerful beaks to tear into wood in search of grubs and insects. They rely on large, old tree hollows for nesting, which can take over a century to form, making the protection of mature forests incredibly important. Pairs often bond for life, and you’ll often see them flying slowly overhead together, calling to each other as they go.

Care- for maximum print life:
- Turn inside out: Always invert your shirt before putting it in the wash to reduce friction against the Direct-to-Garment (DTG) ink.
- Cold & gentle: Wash the garment on a cold cycle (under 30°C) on your machine's gentlest setting.
- Mild detergent only: Use standard, mild washing powder. Avoid heavy-duty detergents, enzymes, and bleaching agents (even non-chlorine ones, if possible).
- No softeners: Do not use fabric softeners, as these can strip or degrade the coloured inks.
