The tawny frogmouth is the master of disguise, often mistaken for a broken tree branch thanks to its mottled grey feathers and perfectly still posture. Found across much of Australia, it spends its nights silently swooping down on insects, small mammals and frogs, then freezes during the day with eyes narrowed to tiny slits — because apparently pretending to be a stick is a full-time job. While adaptable, they still depend on healthy woodlands, and organisations like Australian Wildlife Conservancy help protect the habitats that keep these quirky birds thriving. Despite their behaviour, it’s not actually an owl — and once you notice their wide, grumpy-looking beak, you may wonder who annoyed them.

Care- for maximum print life:
- Turn inside out: Always invert your shirt before putting it in the wash to reduce friction against the Direct-to-Garment (DTG) ink.
- Cold & gentle: Wash the garment on a cold cycle (under 30°C) on your machine's gentlest setting.
- Mild detergent only: Use standard, mild washing powder. Avoid heavy-duty detergents, enzymes, and bleaching agents (even non-chlorine ones, if possible).
- No softeners: Do not use fabric softeners, as these can strip or degrade the coloured inks.
