Blue-faced Honeyeater | Organic Staple T-shirt
The Blue-faced Honeyeater is one of those birds that can't help but stand out—literally and figuratively. Native to eastern Australia, it’s got a striking blue face that makes it look like it's always in the middle of a very fashionable makeover. With its bold yellow and black plumage, it’s like the bird version of a highlighter pen—hard to ignore! This honeyeater is a big fan of nectar, feeding from flowers with the enthusiasm of someone at an all-you-can-eat buffet. But don’t let its bright colors fool you into thinking it’s all sweetness and light; it’s also known for being a bit of a food thief, swooping in on other birds’ meals without a second thought. Social and loud, the Blue-faced Honeyeater thrives in noisy groups, and it seems to relish in making its presence known. If you’re looking for a bird with personality, this one’s got it in spades.
- Fabric: Mid weight, 100% combed organic cotton (15% viscose in marle colourways) sustainably grown without herbicides or pesticides.
- Fit: Regular fit with a crew neck.
- Construction: Side-seamed, GOTS-certified, with neck ribbing, shoulder-to-shoulder tape, and double needle hems. It is also pre-shrunk to minimize shrinkage.
Care- for maximum print life:
- Turn inside out: Always invert your shirt before putting it in the wash to reduce friction against the Direct-to-Garment (DTG) ink.
- Cold & gentle: Wash the garment on a cold cycle (under 30°C) on your machine's gentlest setting.
- Mild detergent only: Use standard, mild washing powder. Avoid heavy-duty detergents, enzymes, and bleaching agents (even non-chlorine ones, if possible).
- No softeners: Do not use fabric softeners, as these can strip or degrade the coloured inks.
