The eastern osprey is one of Australia’s most impressive fishing birds, with a striking white head, dark eye stripe and powerful hooked beak. Found around coastal waters, rivers and estuaries, it hunts by hovering above the water before plunging feet-first to snatch fish with its long, curved talons. Specialised spiny scales on its feet and rough, reversible toe pads help it grip slippery fish, because apparently regular feet weren’t enough. Ospreys build large stick nests, often returning to the same site year after year, making the protection of coastal habitat and nesting sites important for their future. Local conservation groups like Friends of Osprey in the Eyre Peninsula support research and habitat protection for the species.
- Fabric: Mid weight, 100% combed organic cotton (15% viscose in marle colourways) sustainably grown without herbicides or pesticides.

Care- for maximum print life:
- Turn inside out: Always invert your shirt before putting it in the wash to reduce friction against the Direct-to-Garment (DTG) ink.
- Cold & gentle: Wash the garment on a cold cycle (under 30°C) on your machine's gentlest setting.
- Mild detergent only: Use standard, mild washing powder. Avoid heavy-duty detergents, enzymes, and bleaching agents (even non-chlorine ones, if possible).
- No softeners: Do not use fabric softeners, as these can strip or degrade the coloured inks.
