The frilled-neck lizard (Chlamydosaurus kingii) looks like a tiny dinosaur cruising the Aussie outback! When threatened, it bursts into full “Jurassic” mode—flinging open the large, colorful frill around its neck, hissing loudly and standing on its hind legs to appear twice as big. Native to northern Australia and southern New Guinea, these agile reptiles dart up trees or sprint on two legs at breakneck speeds to escape danger. Mostly insectivorous, they’ll also snack on small vertebrates, using lightning-quick reflexes to snatch prey. Despite the dramatic display, frillies are quite camera-shy and prefer to vanish into the scrub—unless you’re lucky enough to catch a peek at their prehistoric party trick!
- Fabric: Mid weight, 100% combed organic cotton (15% viscose in marle colourways) sustainably grown without herbicides or pesticides.
- Fit: Regular fit with a crew neck.
- Construction: Side-seamed, GOTS-certified, with neck ribbing, shoulder-to-shoulder tape, and double needle hems. It is also pre-shrunk to minimize shrinkage.
Care- for maximum print life:
- Turn inside out: Always invert your shirt before putting it in the wash to reduce friction against the Direct-to-Garment (DTG) ink.
- Cold & gentle: Wash the garment on a cold cycle (under 30°C) on your machine's gentlest setting.
- Mild detergent only: Use standard, mild washing powder. Avoid heavy-duty detergents, enzymes, and bleaching agents (even non-chlorine ones, if possible).
- No softeners: Do not use fabric softeners, as these can strip or degrade the coloured inks.
