King Parrot | Organic Staple T-shirt
The Australian king parrot is a spectacular splash of colour in the forest, with males sporting a bright red head and chest, vivid green wings and a blue back, while females wear a more understated mix of green and red. Found along Australia’s eastern coast, from Queensland down to Victoria, they inhabit rainforests, wet sclerophyll forests and wooded areas, where they forage for seeds, fruits, berries and flowers. Unlike many parrots, king parrots often feed quietly in trees or on the ground, sometimes visiting backyards for a snack. Habitat loss and the removal of mature trees can threaten the nesting hollows they rely on. Local conservation groups, such as Wildlife Queensland, play an important role in protecting native wildlife, raising awareness and advocating for the habitats these colourful parrots call home. And with a name like king parrot, you’d think they’d be in charge — but they’re just as likely to be queuing for seeds at your bird feeder.
- Fabric: Mid weight, 100% combed organic cotton (15% viscose in marle colourways) sustainably grown without herbicides or pesticides.

Care- for maximum print life:
- Turn inside out: Always invert your shirt before putting it in the wash to reduce friction against the Direct-to-Garment (DTG) ink.
- Cold & gentle: Wash the garment on a cold cycle (under 30°C) on your machine's gentlest setting.
- Mild detergent only: Use standard, mild washing powder. Avoid heavy-duty detergents, enzymes, and bleaching agents (even non-chlorine ones, if possible).
- No softeners: Do not use fabric softeners, as these can strip or degrade the coloured inks.
