The New Holland honeyeater is a fast-moving, black-and-white bird with a bright yellow wing flash, rarely sitting still for long. Found along southern and eastern Australia, it zips between flowers to feed on nectar, playing an important role in pollination while also snatching insects on the fly. These energetic birds thrive in coastal heath and bushland, but depend on healthy native vegetation, and organisations like Greening Australia help restore and protect these environments. They’re known for their constant chatter and quick bursts of movement — if you think you’ve got a good look at one, it’s probably already gone.
- Fabric: Mid weight, 100% combed organic cotton (15% viscose in marle colourways) sustainably grown without herbicides or pesticides.
- Fit: Regular fit with a crew neck.
- Construction: Side-seamed, GOTS-certified, with neck ribbing, shoulder-to-shoulder tape, and double needle hems. It is also pre-shrunk to minimize shrinkage.
Care- for maximum print life:
- Turn inside out: Always invert your shirt before putting it in the wash to reduce friction against the Direct-to-Garment (DTG) ink.
- Cold & gentle: Wash the garment on a cold cycle (under 30°C) on your machine's gentlest setting.
- Mild detergent only: Use standard, mild washing powder. Avoid heavy-duty detergents, enzymes, and bleaching agents (even non-chlorine ones, if possible).
- No softeners: Do not use fabric softeners, as these can strip or degrade the coloured inks.
